Job Summary
Under the immediate supervision and direction of the Manager, Grounds and Landscaping Services and Assistant Manager, Grounds and Landscaping Services and/or designee, assists in general administrative support for the Grounds Department.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Computer knowledge. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing programs. Ability to learn and use the computerized in-house maintenance management system. Ability to learn and use campus event management system Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of administration, faculty, and staff. Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrated experience in a customer service-oriented environment. Working knowledge of various types of paging systems, i.e. radio, walkie talkie, etc. Work experience using multi-line phones. Must possess exceptional organizational/communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to adapt to changing client situation. Capacity to think creatively. Ability to relate well to individuals and groups with widely varying backgrounds, perspectives, education, and skills; ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure, high-profile situations. Ability to multi-task responsibilities related to events and facilities services Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, contractors, and the general public, both orally and in writing. Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing programs. Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Education and Experience
Equivalent to three years of administrative support experience required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Valid California ID.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $3,120 to $4,592 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for 3 years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
