Primary Job Purpose

Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans and ensuring
successful execution in alignment with divisional strategic objectives.
Collaborates sales executives to define long-term goals, objectives and
key performance indicators that drive growth and profitability. Leads
strategic projects, analyzes industry trends provides relevant data
insights and reporting, assesses internal capabilities. Oversees
budgeting or performance metrics/scorecard process.

General Functions and Outcomes

• Manages and provides oversight and leadership in the planning and
  execution of strategic initiatives.
• Accountable for driving annual strategic plan and objectives,
  tracking performance and results of business objectives, and
  identifying and solving for planning process risk factors.
• Collaborates with sales, marketing and network management executives
  to drive thought leadership and develop and implement long-term
  operating plans.
• Leverages employee satisfaction survey responses to plan and drive
  performance to be best in class.
• Manages the business development process as it relates to
  sponsorships, events, distribution, channel engagement, and monthly
  account and prospect planning reviews.
• Creates and manages a monthly operating plan that ensures readiness
  to launch new products and services to the market.
• Develops and communicates organizational objectives and team goals.
• Ensures objectives remain consistent with the overall business
  strategy.
• Tracks objectives to ensure timely achievement of results within
  budget, and according to defined scope.
• Inform senior leadership about portfolio planning and ongoing status
  of strategic business initiatives.
• Deliver status of portfolio performance consistent with Cambia
  leadership direction.
• Use strong knowledge of Cambia/Health Plan strategies and
  initiatives to represent the leadership team in various forums.
• Facilitates prioritization, capacity, and resource allocation
  decisions with the leadership Team.
• Leads budget planning, forecasting and preparation of strategic
  documents.
• Identifies critical risks and issues and drives to resolution
• Appropriately escalates issues to leadership or key stakeholders.
• Raises awareness about critical project dependencies and ensures
  that all requirements are communicated to relevant work streams and
  business partners. Provides management to direct and virtual team
  members.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven leadership competencies in recognizing business deficiencies,
  analyzing, developing, implementing and measuring effectiveness of
  existing business processes, including redesign and optimization
  with the ability to develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable
  improvement.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with all levels of the
  organization, including the ability to resolve complex issues, build
  consensus among groups of diverse stakeholders and manage strategic
  partner relationships.
• Knowledge of and experience working in the health care industry, a
  plus.
• Proven track record of strategic planning and execution
• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment; ability
  to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Excellent facilitation and business planning skills
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret
  data, conduct market research and perform financial analysis.
• Demonstrated experience in initiating, tracking, and managing
  business transformation projects / pro rams and leading change.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and maximize efficiency
  opportunities and establish measurements to determine strong
  operational outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills; demonstrated ability to think about
  business problems in new ways and the ability to clarify key issues
  in complex situations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
  skills.
• Ability to partner with cross functional key stakeholders, maintain
  and develop relationships and influence decision making.

The Planning & Execution Director would have a Bachelor’s degree in
Business Administration, finance or a related field and 12+ years of
business experience (preferably in healthcare), including 3+ years’ in
business planning or project management and 3+ years working directly
with senior management to execute strategic initiatives, or equivalent
combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Duties are performed primarily in an office environment.

Travel to other regional offices may be required.
