CAMP KATONIM Hiring for Assistant Summer Camp Director (Director of Operations and Programming) Job at Keswick Full Time

*Camp Katonim, a waterfront day camp, near Keswick, Ontario, is looking to employ an energetic and enthusiastic Summer Camp leader with experience supervising staffd and programming children’s camp activities for children between the ages of 4 and 16.* Camp Katonim is located in a beautiful country setting, 50 minutes from Toronto, on the shores of Lake Simcoe and operates 9am-4pm daily for 8 week-long sessions, beginning July 3, 2023. Being a leadership presence within camp and building and nurturing a sense of community and understanding amongst all staff members. Providing direct supervision to counsellors and Head staff and support to all camp staff, including, but limited to: daily check-ins, providing them with informal positive and constructive feedback, supporting them during difficult or emergency situations, and providing them with input and direction about strategies for working with specific children or the group as a whole. Camp programming and overseeing the Leaders in Training (LIT) and Counsellors in Training (CIT) programs, including training, team building, and placement. Assigning support staff or Heads of Junior/Senior Camp, T&T, (Twix & Tweeners), lead to assist with cabins or activities when needed.

Contract length: 2 months

Salary: $3,000.00-$4,500.00 per year

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Vaughan, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• management: 1 year (preferred)
