Job description
The Opportunity
Cardiff School of Technologies’ Transnational Education (TNE) activity currently supports more than 2000 students across 5 Partner Institutions around the world. This exciting new role based in Cardiff School of Technologies will be responsible for developing a professional services infrastructure, which will support the expanding TNE portfolio in Cardiff School of Technologies.
- Co-ordinate, develop and support the academic related administration for Transnational Education and Partnerships within the School.
- Act as the Learning and Teaching Champion for the Moodle (Virtual Learning Environment) including responsibility for the transfer of academic content from home modules to the franchised modules.
- Act as a central point of contact for Quality Enhancement Directorate (QED) for the School’s Transnational Education quality assurance matters
- Co-ordinate the Internal Verification processes for all TNE Module Quality Assurance, ensuring all drafts are reviewed and approved by Link Tutor/Field Specialists and External Examiners to agreed timescales.
- Co-ordinate, manage and support the quality assurance processes within the School for Transnational Education Partners to ensure compliance and submission to agreed deadlines
- Co-ordination and support for the curriculum management of the Transnational Education portfolio
What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C or above including English Language and Maths, or equivalent experience
- Excellent literacy & numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skill,
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, tact and diplomacy at all times
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrable ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrable ability to organise, plan, prioritise and multi-task, ensuring competing deadlines are met by both self and others
- Demonstrable ability to use own initiative and provide solutions to complex problems
- Ability to work in an agile and flexible manner
- Demonstrable ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and bespoke IT systems
- Relevant previous administrative experience in a team working role
- Experience of providing excellent customer service
- Experience of reviewing practices and procedures and implementing changes to improve processes
