The Logistics Coordinator will handle moderately complex supply chain activities required to bring commodity ingredients into contracted warehouses, vendors, plants or direct to customers. In this role, you will execute the commodity merchant supply strategy, collaborate with all other internal functional and department personnel, be responsible for administration of documentation and systems entry and ensure a timely and cost effective flow of commodities. Key Accountabilities
Provide transportation and logistics solutions on inbound movement of raw commodity ingredients and finished goods from origin to destination.
Execute logistics activities that support the execution of the supply chain, such as transportation capacity plans, management of third party warehouses and vendors, container administration and import shipments.
Responsible for routine scheduling, transportation arrangement, stock inventory management and reporting of shipments in accordance with purchase and sales contracts.
Execute against the logistics and supply chain strategy, resolve complex issues and provide recommendations to support improved and cost beneficial freight movements.
Manage shipments against purchase and sales contracts, create internal and external purchase orders and invoices and perform data entry updates using enterprise resource planning systems, spreadsheets and databases.
Conduct specialized transportation and logistics activities, such as participation with the material resource plans for the facilities, claims and incidents, customer service and customer orders contracts.
Develop and foster relationships to obtain services at preferential pricing and service levels.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (supply chain, transportation, logistics, management) or equivalent experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Minimum of two years of related work experience
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of ingredient food safety, preferably in a manufacturing environment
SAP experience
Inventory management experience
Knowledge in feed manufacturing
