Compensation: $19.10 CAD/hr
Principal Accountabilities
Follow all Food Safety, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP’s), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs
Communicate with packers from the previous shift to determine if there are any problems on the packing portion of the line
Operate packaging equipment to fill, label, stack, and stretch wrap product containers
Monitor packaging equipment performance; make adjustments to equipment as necessary
Record and review production data as required on log sheets
Contact Operator or Team Leader in the event of any problems with the lines, product quality, or critical control points
Perform product and packaging changeovers as scheduled
Restock boxes, skids, and liners for next shift and current shift as needed
Clean work areas and equipment as assigned or scheduled
Must obtain pallet handling equipment certification and use pallet handling equipment to move product or packaging materials as required
Maintain all production areas in a neat and clean condition
Properly account for any product rework.
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
High School diploma or Equivalent
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55lbs, kneeling, climbing and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
Able to perform physical job duties which may include crawling safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Forklift certified
Prior experience in production related work
