Engineers within carsales generally work within one of our three major tribes and this role sits within our Trade tribe. The main focus for Trade is a high availability product for Dealership customers to manage their inventory and prospects. It plays a vital role in allowing them to maximise their online customer interaction and sale funnels.

From integrations and billing to user management and authorisations, the tribe are responsible for a high availability, low latency platform built for client success.

What you’ll do

• Work closely with product owners and developers to work on the best testing plan, estimation, identify test requirements and test scenarios.
• Design test strategy, test plans and test cases.
• Creation, ongoing maintenance, uplift and optimisation to test automation frameworks using Javascript
• Manage end-to-end testing, this will include writing test cases, performing internal testing across a range of environments and reporting back to business partners on the test results.

What you’ll need

• Previous experience in testing of REST APIs and MS SQL queries.
• Demonstrated experience in exploratory and automated testing including working with testing tools like Cypress, Postman, Puppeteer, WebDriverIO and Selenium in JavaScript/C#
• You’ll also have experience or involvement in creating test plans and progress tracking
• A proactive, can-do attitude. You love to share knowledge with others and constantly looking for best ways of working
