We are currently looking for Software Engineers to work within our core services team. The core services team owns a lot of supporting systems, such as payment gateway, authentication platform, location API, carsales inventory API, media library and many more. Our aim is making sure everything is globally ready, deployed across multiple regions and ready to be used not only for carsales but also our businesses in Latin America.

The team is going through an exciting phase of looking to expand these systems in to full-fledged self-serve products that we could possibly provide to external customers.

Carsales is 100% in the cloud (AWS). You will get great exposure to everything AWS provides + access to solution architects from within AWS.

What’ll you’ll be doing

• Work on a variety of different projects from our payment gateway to our authentication platform, inventory API + many more.
• Craft and deploy high quality software, as part of your team.
• Write code that is clean, highly maintainable and well tested.
• Continually improve the codebase and suggest areas we can improve further.
• Work with a variety of AWS services (ECS, DynamoDB, S3 etc).
• Have a say in in what you will be working on.
• Learn event driven architecture. We use rabbit MQ to decouple services between different teams.
• Collaborate with other teams in the Core Tribe and across carsales.
• Enjoy the monthly birthday cake(s) where we get together to celebrate last months birthdays.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrated inclusive and interpersonal attributes that connect you to our behaviours (we change the game, we own it, we step in, we are curious, we don’t take ourselves too seriously).
• Familiarity with .Net Core C#
• A willingness to adopt our development practices (Agile, Clean and simple code)
