Carter Logistics, LLC Hiring for Dispatcher (5AM-2PM) (Monday-Friday) at Vandalia, OH Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for managing routes and drivers to ensure on time pickups and deliveries are made. This position will oversee the timeliness of the drivers/routes. This position will also communicate with suppliers, customers, driver management and other internal company departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Know, support, and enforce company policies and expectations
• Effectively manage drivers using current company policies and procedures
• Dispatch drivers to and from facility while managing driver routes

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior dispatch, route management and dispatching experience is a plus. Working knowledge in logistics and manufacturing is preferred. Must be able to work independently and effectively communicate within all levels of the organization. Must be highly organized, responsible, and dependable. Must be able to problem solve and work in high pressure situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook email required. Knowledge of TMW software is a plus. Must have the ability to learn new programs as necessary.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This is an office position. You will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements set for entering the dock area, if needed.
