The Software Engineer will make an impact to the company through the development of software code for embedded access devices.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Develop high-performing reusable software.
• Ability to analyse issues and root cause problems.
• Ensure product quality through participation in peer code review and development of unit testing.
• Implementing solutions as per project requirements.
• Writing code to meet specifications.
• Ensure that the code written is of high quality.
• Perform unit testing and test automation.
• Ensure documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and up to date.
• Support team members via code review, design review, mentoring, and information and knowledge sharing.

WHAT DO WE LOOK FOR IN YOU?

• Relevant industry experience or recent graduate with exceptional problem solving and programming skills.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering field (electronics, software, computer science, etc.)
• Proficiency in C, and any of Python, Lua, shell scripting, and related utilities is desirable.
• Working knowledge of Linux / Embedded Linux desirable.
• Basic knowledge of computer networking (IP networks, routing protocols, VPNs, Wi-Fi, cellular networks) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of digital data communications concepts and protocols, any of those based on ETSI standards and ITU standards e.g. Ethernet, DSL, GPON is a plus.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Adaptable and flexible to work in a dynamic environment.
• High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to problem solving.
• Willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
