Leading a team with the primary responsibility of taking care of others is very important. Our Emergency nursing supervisor will be directly responsible for overseeing the quality of patient care and assure the delivery of individualized nursing care is given from each team member. Saint Joseph East is a 217-bed full-service community hospital located in the rapidly growing southeastern section of Lexington Kentucky. We provide care for patients in Fayette and surrounding counties. At Saint Joseph East ambulatory surgery 24-hour emergency care and women’s health services are supported through a vast array of inpatient and outpatient program. Additional specialty services include Heart Care Breast Care Sleep Care and Weight Loss Surgery. CHI Saint Joseph Health supports 5000 active employees 8 hospitals specialty clinics and a Medical Group with more than 200 locations across Central and Eastern KY. CommonSpirit Health was formed by the alignment of Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health in 2019. Responsibilities

• Leads a designated nursing area (part of a unit, entire unit, or entire facility)

• Oversees quality of patient care to assure delivery of individualized nursing care

• Oversees patient care delivery to maximize patient/family satisfaction and minimize risk of injury or negative outcomes to patients or employees while serving as a resource for staff

• Directs staff during emergency situations

• Coordinates orientation and/or training for team

• Responsible for driving patient care across the continuum through leadership of disciplinary care rounds and care management

Qualifications

• Current licensure as Registered Nurse in this state

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or (pursuit of BSN or higher degree) from an accredited nursing program

• Minimum of four (4) years clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting or at least three (3) years demonstrated leadership as a charge RN or PCC.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
