JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for project delivery for numerous initiatives within the GWS EA Transformation Program. Specifically, this role ensures seamless delivery of each initiative through the Build and Transition phases. There are 3 phases or tower leads: Assess & Design, Build, and Transition. This role, therefore, ensure successful delivery of each project across Build and Transition.
The GWS EA Transformation Program includes numerous, disparate initiatives that all share the same goal of driving efficiency, simplicity, and cost reduction. The Transition Director uses his/her experience in managing large, complex projects in matrixed organizations to understand how each individual initiative is best delivered. The Transition Director works with the Build and Transition Leads respectively to understand overall strategy, objectives and milestones. The role creates and executes against project plans including regular workstream meetings, risk / issue tracking and mitigation, financial management, status reporting, etc. As needed, will need to assist with business case development and tracking of progress against stated KPIs. Works with the Transition Lead to ensure overall success of both the initial deployment and the handoff to operations teams for sustained excellence. Generally, is seen as the single lead responsible for all projects going through the larger Transformation Program”
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for delivery against project plan across the Build and Transition phases. Serves as the primary point of contact for each individual transformation project for those phases of work. Responsible for development and execution of the project plan across Build and Transition phases, including milestones, dates and dependencies, owners, project status and health, and risk / issue identification and mitigation. Understands and incorporates custom aspects into plan, according to the needs of individual initiatives. Supports regular status reporting including status against performance indicators. Can utilize technology quickly and easily to produce required reports. Understands the business context around performance indicators and can effectively map those to project deliverables. Manages issues and risks with a hands-on approach. Is able to quickly identify and respond to blockers to progress. Able to dive into details where needed in order to help team advance work. Understands balance between owning issues versus escalating to senior leadership, in order to realize the most expedient solution. Can recognize, capture, and apply lessons learned throughout the processWorks with Transition Lead on service readiness, for new or changing services at either the regional, sector or account levels. Understands and plans for hiring needs, technology and process changes, and organizational change readiness. Works with Transition Lead for hand-off to operations, which might look different for each initiative, and assist with stabilization. Motivate people to get work done; relies upon strength of management / influence rather than span of control. Provides key data to Tower Leads for financial management. Utilizes technology effectively to track project financials.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises a small team of individuals (possibly both direct and indirect reporting) across a broad range of initiatives. Will be expected to leverage resources across the Build and Transition Towers. Seamlessly interact with all stakeholders as needed

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent. Five to seven years experience successfully leading large, complex projects. Financial and business acumen expected, with knowledge of GWS Enterprise a plus.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Should have “”strength of voice”” to ensure that critical issues are well-understood and / or accountability is driven where needed. Able to influence without authority at multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to provide efficient, timely, and reliable information to stakeholders as needed. High level of emotional intelligence. Ability to work with technology very easily to accomplish work.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
General financial and commercial acumen expected. Understanding of GWS Enterprise business and commercial models is a plus.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to analyze multiple facets of issues and comprehend the root causes of of success and impediments. Ability to link task dependencies across functions or workstreams to quickly identify blockers. Creative problem solving.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, and Excel. Spreadsheet advanced functions such as graphics and/or pivot tables is a plus. Ability to work with data analytics resources (Tableau, MS Power BI) as needed to create or modify dashboards and reports.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Scope to include GWS Enterprise business at the regional, sector, and account levels. To include operations at all levels as well as shared services. Scope does not include GWS client engagement or management.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $130,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
