Our growing company is currently looking to hire an entry level Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team, based out of our Calgary office. The ideal candidate will be team-orientated, interested in learning various aspects of accounting and is eager to grow professionally with us.
Responsibilities:
As our Accounting Clerk you will be responsible for:
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with PST and GST returns
- Financial reporting (weekly and monthly support)
- Supporting month end and year end close
- Supporting Accounts Payable with AP entry and Process flow optimization
- Supporting Accounts Receivable with cash applications and statements
- Participate in the interim and year-end financial statements audit
- Other statutory reporting as required
Qualifications:
Qualifications/Skills required:
- 1-2 years in Accounting with related post-secondary degree in Accounting or related business program, or combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Great Plains Dynamics or other accounting systems would be an asset.
- Working towards a professional designation (CPA) is considered an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional data entry accuracy.
