Our public sector client is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join their team as a Project Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate to play a key role in managing and coordinating projects to ensure their successful completion.

You will:

• Assist the wider team on project management activities, from planning to execution, ensuring successful project delivery
• Collaborate with team members to define project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans
• Monitor progress and address issues to ensure goals are achieved
• Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project timelines and objectives
• Prepare and present regular status reports to leadership team and stakeholders
• Provide administrative support as required

About you:

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating the smooth execution of projects from initiation to completion. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that project objectives are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is highly organised and detail orientated.

You’ll also have:

• A commitment to developing cultural capability in te ao Māori and a strong understanding and appreciation of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in project coordination or other relevant experience
• Previous government experience (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines
• The confidence to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• An ability to work collaboratively and operate autonomously in a small team environment
• Proficiency in MS Office – Word and Excel

Please note: Experience working within the construction and infrastucture industries in New Zealand is highly desirable for this role. An understanding of project methodologies and frameworks is also desirable, however this organisation is also prepared to upskill the successful candidate with applicable project-related qualifications.
