Job Description
High school diploma or GED; one year of customer service experience; knowledge and/or experience with timekeeping, electronic filing and records management, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Good knowledge of current office practices and procedures; ability to communicate and listen effectively; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
Serves as primary customer service representative at administration office; greets in person and telephone visitors; provides information regarding Parks & Recreation services; ensures inquiries are routed to appropriate party; researches questions and requests made by citizens and/or staff; assists with general program information; performs data entry and general office support to include work orders, departmental action items, office supply ordering and inventory management; keying updates to database records/spreadsheets. Also serves as primary timekeeper and timekeeping liaison for the department by ensuring time submission, supporting records and reports are completed timely and accurately for each pay period.
Assists with onboarding process for employees and scheduling employees for orientation. Assists with various audits as related to timekeeping, timesheets, documents sent to county HR for scanning to official record, etc. Assists with scanning files and maintains filing and/or record systems. Performs other work as required. This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
28 hours/week; shift varies Monday – Friday between 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
