Children First Early Childhood Centre Looking for ECE Centre manager at Upper Hutt, Wellington Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader for our team. We are a 45 licence centre, privately owned and located in Upper Hutt. We have a focus on building community and relationships with both tamariki and whanau. We operate well above minimum child-teacher ratios to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.

We want to provide both quality and affordable childcare so we are looking for someone with a strong ability to provide quality care while also managing financial requirements. The role is largely autonomous and you will have the ability to add your own touch into your management and the centre. You will be supported by the owners and a centre administrator. We offer a competitive salary and will pay registration, first aid and training costs, we also offer discounted childcare for staff.

We are looking for someone with:

• B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
• Comprehensive knowledge of the NZ Teachers Council, ERO, MOE, and MOH requirements and Licencing criteria
• Excellent people management and leadership skills
• Strong mentoring and professional development focus
• Good communication skills
• Strong organisational ability
• The right to work in New Zealand
