The Adoption Support & Preservation program provides services to families with children who have been adopted or for whom guardianship has been awarded through the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services. As the Clinical Supervisor, you will provide reflective supervision and case consultation to a team of Therapists and other program staff.

What you’ll do:

• Directly supervise a team of Adoption Support & Preservation staff, including licensed and unlicensed Therapists, Clinical Case Managers, and Respite workers. Provide regular case consultation and ongoing performance evaluation.

• Engage in reflective supervision, characterized by active listening and coaching to support your staff in meeting professional development goals and strengthening their independent decision-making skills.

• Participate with curiosity and openness in structured leadership trainings and informal leadership cohort groups.

• Provide support and back-up to members of your team as needed, which may include attending therapy sessions or treatment team meetings.

• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure continuity of services for clients served.

Who you are:

• You have at least a Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling, or a closely related field.

• You have a valid Illinois clinical license (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT).

• You have at least two years’ relevant clinical experience; preferably experience working with youth, parents, or families who have experienced trauma.

• Experience providing reflective supervision in a clinical setting preferred.

• You are able to work on-site as needed and you have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle.

• You are an intuitive, nonjudgmental listener who easily builds relationships built on respect, trust and positive regard.

• You are warm, flexible, and hold a strong belief that generational trauma can be healed through counseling.

The details:

• Location: Hybrid (remote/in office). Clinical Supervisor will attend occasional on-site meetings/events in Rockford, but most work may be completed from a remote location.

• Schedule: Full-time, salaried; general business hours with some flexibility for evening appointments as needed to accommodate program needs.

• Staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to submit proof of their vaccination status before their start date unless they have an agency approved medical or religious exemption. Staff with an exemption will need to provide proof of weekly testing.

Compensation & benefits:

• Salary: Range starts at $67,000. Offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation.

• Clinical licensure: Children’s Home & Aid provides reimbursement for licensure renewal fees.
