The Community Support, Governance&Partnerships Unit provides a leading role in community recreation activities and events.
Our team is looking for two Community Recreation Assistants to assist us over the summer period with the delivery of a range of exciting community events and programmes.
These positions will involve event planning, delivery and evaluation and the successful applicants will be required during the period of November through to the end of March with approximately 3 unpaid weeks off over Christmas.
These positions will be recognised as meeting the requirements of practical work for university recreation studies.

Salary: $25.94 – $29.48 per hour
Hours of Work: Fixed-term to assist with busy summer period from November 2023 – March 2024. Hours will be rostered with a weekly minimum of 20 hours, to a maximum of 40 hours including weekends
Location: Primarily based at the Papanui Service Centre, however there may be a requirement to assist at other Christchurch City Council service hubs
