About The Team
The Stormwater&Waterways Capital Delivery Team here at the Council are a high performing team of experienced professionals who work on interesting and challenging projects that are critical to the community. This includes protecting homes from flood risk and future proofing stormwater infrastructure, as well as improving the health of our waterways. Due to an increased work programme and previous team members’ career moves to more senior roles, we have three positions available for Project Managers.
About The Role
Your main functions will include playing an active role in leading your own projects and being responsible for their completion. Your involvement will be from inception through design to tender, and delivery. You’ll front discussions and work closely with the community including the public, community boards and external organisations and stakeholders to advise on best practice, timeframes and expectations. You’ll be managing scope, time, cost and quality issues as well as risks and will effectively manage the handover process.
About You
We are looking for someone who is motivated to tackle projects head on and who can manage their time efficiently. You’ll be an outcomes focused person who can ‘think outside the box’ to get the right results. You will be confident in your project management abilities as well as be able to build strong working relationships across multiple groups inside and outside of the Council. Being a collaborator will see you work closely within your team to get projects completed in a timely manner – you’ll always seek out ways to improve and engage with your colleagues. You’ll have a relevant university degree and will have at least ten years’ industry experience with at least 5 of those being in Project Management.
