Oceania Productions is seeking a TECHNICAL MANAGER – LIGHTING OPERATIONS join their team in Auckland. With a rich history and a secure future in providing production services for various events, Oceania Productions is looking for a dedicated and professional individual to oversee technical operations of the lighting department.
As the Technical Manager – Lighting Operations, your responsibilities will include designing and delivering lighting systems for various live entertainment and corporate events, managing and maintaining all lighting equipment, coordinating repairs and upgrades, and ensuring the correct equipment is available for hire. You will also be responsible for the provision of equipment, transport, and crew, both in the warehouse and on-site environments.
This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of live events through managing the lighting equipment preparation. This includes collaborating with Account Managers, Operations staff, and contractor and casual staff. Your contribution will enable the on-site teams to deliver high-quality lighting experiences for audiences and clients alike.
To be successful in this role, you should have a high-level of real-world experience with lighting systems in a high profile live events context, including power and data systems (ArtNet, sACN, DMX, MANet), experience with a variety of digital and conventional lighting fixtures, practical knowledge of rigging requirements and regulations for the New Zealand entertainment market, and a solid understanding of 2D and 3D CAD (WYSIWYG and Vectorworks). A positive attitude, the ability to adapt to change, and the ability to interact with colleagues and clients in a pleasant and respectful manner are critical attributes for success in this role.
Safety and compliance are paramount in both live production and warehouse environments. You will be expected to ensure adherence to relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
