We’re looking for a PRN Patient Access Clerk to become a part of our team!

Our Patient Access Clerks are the “face of Cibola General” and often the first person our patients interact with. We’re looking for a friendly, customer service-oriented individual who has a high attention to detail and enjoys working with people.

Patient Access Clerks perform the following duties:

Pre-register and register inpatient and outpatient customers, verify insurance coverage, call for referrals from appropriate payors, collect coinsurance/deductible at time of service, collect payment from self-pay customers at time of service and answer the telephone in the absence of the switchboard operator.

Qualifications Needed:

Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Skills: Ability to work on computers, good personal communication skills, ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and physicians, ability to work independently, dependable, has great customer service. Able to work in fast-paced stressful environments. Experience with medical terminology or medical insurance is preferred.
