Cisco Intersight is a cloud-based capabilities as a service platform for Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System), HyperFlex and other data center products, including partners and third-parties. It provides a more intelligent level of management that enables IT organizations to analyze, simplify and automate their environments. It is driven by analytics and machine learning to provide actionable intelligence for IT operations management.
What You’ll Do
In this highly visible role as a Senior Escalation Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to diagnose and resolve product-level problems within our portfolio. The ideal candidate will be able to drive complete problem resolution, from the initial diagnosis and troubleshooting, through the design of a solution, all the way to the publication and deployment of the fix. As part of this mandate you will work both directly with our end customers and also our own internal development engineers. You will be an advocate for our customers and product quality within the development and product management organization.
Who You’ll Work With
Work with the team of superstar engineers who built Cisco’s industry-leading Datacenter portfolio. On this team you’ll be working in a highly dynamic environment and making an impact on the business as you work to diagnose and solve systemic and product-wide issues being experienced by key customers. You will be collaborating with Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC), Sales, and directly with end customers as well as our own internal software development, Quality Assurance, and manufacturing teams.
Who You Are
We are looking for a leader with the technical skillset to both “Do” and “Teach”. You have excellent communication, a take-charge attitude, and an unwavering customer focus. You should be as comfortable in a lab as you are in front of a whiteboard explaining a solution to customer executives.
A successful candidate will have a solid grasp of cloud native technologies while having a complete understanding of the building blocks that make the cloud run. More than any other quality, we are seeking those driven by the challenge of solving unique and difficult problems, those who thrive and excel when given creative freedom, and those who aren’t afraid to dive into new territory (technical or otherwise) and learn something new. You should have a good sense of product design, cloud operations and be willing to work in small, self-organizing teams.
