The Position
Portland Parks & Recreation’s (PP&R) Workforce Development Team (WFD) is looking for a qualified candidate to join our team!
The Workforce Development Team Support’s (CSA II) primary responsibilities will revolve around outreach, recruitment, and hiring for Portland Parks & Recreation. This hybrid role supports our hiring activities, which includes coordinating interview schedules, creating interview materials, and assisting hiring managers as needed. Additionally, this position will support our outreach efforts, including creating documents and reports supporting databases. Duties may vary depending on specific team projects. However, all duties will be supportive in nature.
Key tasks and projects include:
Coordinating interview schedules and support hiring managers.
Supporting our outreach efforts. This includes, but is not limited to: creating documents and reports related to outreach efforts, supporting databases
Developing and fostering relationships with Workforce Development Team, hiring managers, and the BHR Workforce Recruitment Team.
Working directly with hiring managers, providing strategic guidance regarding recruitment activities including interview process.
Researching and responding to inquiries from external and internal customers related to Recruitment and Selection activities
Making recommendations for continuous process improvement related to Recruitment and Selection activities
Working in partnership with WFD team on the utilization, monitoring, and updating the PP&R hiring checklist and toolkit.
Providing project support as assigned by the WFD Manager.
Hourly Rate: $18.00-$29.70/Hour; Dependent on Experience
Start Date: Early-September 2023 (Subject to Change)
This Community Service Aide (CSA II) position has a maximum of 1,400 hours in a calendar year. These positions are not eligible for benefits.

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position:
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Ability to monitor projects, which includes the use of database management from data entry to reporting.
Ability to use effective communication, both orally and written, while maintaining confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and with a team, as this is currently a hybrid position.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
