About The Role

Reporting to the Financial Manager – Southern, the Management Accountant will be key to linking the operational and financial sections of Citycare Propety, providing support and financial knowledge within the Southern region.

The role will be an exciting opportunity for an experienced management accountant, offering exposure across the business and working with our operational teams and management to provide non-financial and financial reporting and analysis. The Management Accountant will also be responsible for the development and improvement of systems such as Pronto and CAM.

Responsibilities

• Providing business support and advice to Managers, and Operation/Contract Manager and Administrator as required. This will include opportunities to maximise profits under the contract.
• Discussing management results with Operations/Contract managers and assist with queries/issues
• Enhancing the financial acumen of Operations.
• Calculating and reconciling of monthly WIP, accruals, CFA’s balance sheet accounts
• Providing job analysis to divisions.
• Preparing monthly management reports for the contracts to the level of detail required e.g. categories of work, local boards, etc.
• Providing analysis of results and investigate variances. Make any necessary recommendations.
• Assisting administration staff with accounting-based queries.
• Preparing capex requests including NPV calculations.
• Initiating and follow up of system improvements

Requirements

To be considered you must have experience as a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant with accounting system knowledge and the ability to work in an environment where there are large contracts. The successful candidate will also have/be:

• Active Chartered Accountant or Management Accountant experience
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Ability to interpret contract clauses from a financial perspective
• Willingness to widely support other staff members
• Accuracy and tenaciousness
• Ability to deal with concepts and complexity comfortably
