Underwriting/Brokerage Assistant- Remote Position
We are a managing general agent and surplus lines broker that helps independent insurance brokers place hard to insure businesses and homes. We are seeking a full-time Underwriting and Brokerage assistant for our fast-growing team! The daily activity consists of assisting with brokerage placements, interacting and connecting with our retail insurance partners, rating & preparing quotes, and working tightly with our team in China to ensure the quality of processing. We are seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic individual with strong interpersonal skills and an analytical mind that wants to be a part of something BIG! To be clear, this isn’t a “side gig”, this is for someone who ultimately wants to commit to a path for a successful career in the insurance industry that will provide financial independence and the ability to work from anywhere in the world. We are looking for someone who understands that this is a growing role with a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Bind order management.
- Processing of quotes.
- Assisting with Brokerage Placements.
- Assisting with the Contract Underwriting team.
- Pre-rating and draft/select correct policy language on insurance contracts.
- Documentation management.
- Interact with our team in China to ensure the quality of processing.
- Interact with our retail partners and insurance carriers and markets.
Qualifications/Skill sets sought:
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Technical competence.
- High school diploma.
- Insurance-related experience is a strong plus but is not mandatory.
- A college degree is desired but is not mandatory.
- Ability to make decisions.
- Critical thinking.
- Quick learner.
- Positive Attitude.
- Is driven to continually grow and improve their skills and value feedback and coaching.
- Loves working with others in a dynamic team environment.
