Compensation

+ $23-$26/hr. (combined average wage).

+ INCREASE your wages to up to $26-$30/hr. with INCENTIVE PLAN.

Overtime

Schedule

+ 2nd shift positions from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm & 3rd shift positions from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am (starting Sunday night).

+ 5 days a week (Monday to Friday).

+ You may be required to work overtime, and weekends as needed and come in early or stay late depending on production demands.

In this position you will operate automated and semi-automated production machines to manufacture automotive batteries. In addition, operators make minor adjustments during troubleshooting, recognize and diagnose machine problems and participate in operator preventative maintenance of equipment such as cleaning, greasing, and replacing small parts. Perform visual inspection of machines for quality or productivity problems. Perform required quality checks as trained.

Our Geneva, IL facility is currently hiring Assembler/Machine Operators to work in our fast-paced facility. You will be responsible for various tasks and responsibilities that include the following:

Primary Responsibilities and Tasks

+ Adhere to all safety standards including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, respirator).

+ Learn how to perform all functions on assigned production machines, including controlling and adjusting machine settings, feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.

+ Verify product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units.

+ Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs to maintain a clean and orderly work area.

+ Grease and oil machines and perform minor repairs.

+ Perform preventive maintenance on machines.

+ Prepare daily production, maintain records of production and time reports.

Required Qualifications

+ Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.

+ Ability to work in a hot environment.

+ Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and e fficient manner.

+ Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.

+ Able to change direction frequently.

+ Basic computer skills.

+ Basic math, reading and writing skills.

+ Minimum of 1+ years of working experience in manufacturing or similar industry.

+ Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

+ Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.

+ Must be able to wear required PPE.

+ Ability to understand and follow all safety, quality and production specifications and instructions, both written and verbal.

+ A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

+ Qualified applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident card holder. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
