Interim Store Assistant – Clayton Hotel Sligo

We have a fantastic new vacancy for an Interim Store Assistant in the excellent Clayton Hotel Sligo.

Objective of the Role

As Store Assistant you will assist in the receiving of goods into the hotel, checking for quality and accuracy as well as ensure correct administration of deliveries. You will also be required to assist in the general administration and to co-ordinate daily purchases.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the receipting and storage of all food & beverage items working with a par stock.
• Responsible for the storage and requisitioning of all dry goods items working with a par stock.
• Acceptance of all deliveries, checking for damages, and ensuring that all HACCP regulations are in order.
• Ensure the Accounts department receive invoices, purchase orders and delivery dockets on a daily basis. Receipt all goods received on procure wizard
• Check & record temperature of food items
• Ensure all empty kegs are returned when full kegs are delivered
• Storage of all deliveries including perishable foodstuffs, ensuring a first in first out rotation system is in place.
• Responsible for the storage and requisitioning of all cleaning chemicals, stationary items & disposables working with a par stock.
• Participation and contribution to the hotel sustainability committee.
• Management of the waste disposal within the Hotel.
• Keep cellar and other storage areas as per company cleanliness standards
• Cardboard to be bailed each day
• Taking responsible for the organisation of the back-yard area and general hotel grounds, ensuring that all areas have been cleaned daily.
• Coordinate with various departments in the purchasing of stock to ensure no items go out of stock.
• Full ownership of the purchasing process- from processing orders, to checking deliveries on arrival.
• Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items between suppliers

Requirements:

• Experience in purchasing is a key advantage
• Hotel experience is a key advantage
