Clicks IT Recruitment Hiring for Junior Software Developer Job at South Melbourne, Australia Full Time

Our client is looking for a Junior Software Developer temp. It is a 6 months’ stint and if the c andidate is suitable, there could be an opportunity to extend the engagement and possibly even offer a permanent role.

The role will work on projects within Clients’ Service Delivery and will be developing firmware and software for digital/electronic products using C language.

The hiring manager is looking for someone with a minimum of 1-2 years’ out of university –

Ability to collaborate and communicate well across various teams.

Must have Python experience and exposure (1-2 yrs’ minimum)

Must have C Programming experience and exposure (1-2 yrs’ minimum)

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and about 2 years’ post-graduation experience in this field.

Ideally has practical engineering experience in full life cycle of product/software development

Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing software using Python, MicroPython (desirable), C and C# is essential

Exposure to aspects of working with LwM2M protocol, developing software for devices that make use of it is essential

Sound understanding and experience of developing software in Windows and Linux environment is desirable

Exposure to Git for collaborating with other software developers and maintaining version control

Knowledge and/or experience working with SCADA, including maintaining and setting up new sites is advantageous but not essential

Knowledge of TCP/IP and other common communication protocols is good to have

Exposure to Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence

Knowledge and/or exposure to aspects of developing RESTful web API and web applications is desirable

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

Ability to undertaking complex technical work with limited supervision

Willingness to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the business

A can-do attitude with ability to thrive under pressure and passion for solving complex technical problems
