Cluey Learning Looking for Qualified Teacher: Tutor Online at Christchurch Central, Canterbury Full Time

Cluey Learning, Australia’s largest online school tutoring service, is expanding into New Zealand! Our approach is 100% online, 100% personalised, and always adapting to the changing needs of our students.   
 
We are looking for qualified schoolteachers who are experienced with the New Zealand curriculum to deliver our online school tutoring sessions in English and Maths. These sessions are offered online to secondary students across New Zealand in both a one-on-one and small group session environment.  
 
Our flexible service offers a great opportunity for teachers to make a positive impact on students’ lives while still being able to work around their busy schedules.  
 
All the content for each tutoring session is created by our team of education experts and provided to you, along with training on our platform in advance. All you need to bring is your passion for education!
 
About the role: 

• Hassle-free & flexible – we do all the heavy lifting when it comes to recruiting your students. We then match them to your specific experience, subject and schedule availability.  

• All teaching and learning content as well as the lesson plans are provided by us, fully mapped to the local curriculum – all you need to do is log on and tutor, no additional preparation necessary. 

• Flexibility – work from anywhere and fit this in around your regular teaching schedule.  

• Extensive training and support provided – our team will set you up with your students, train you on our platform, and provide guidance and support. 

• A competitive rate of $30 per hour for qualified teachers.

A bit about you:

• You are a qualified schoolteacher

• Have prior experience in teaching Math or English at a secondary level. 

• You will be tech-savvy with excellent communication skills. 

• Have a sound understanding of the NZ curriculum. 

• Are able to offer 10 hours of availability during our peak tutoring hours 3 pm – 8 pm during the week and on weekends. 

• Have full working rights in New Zealand

• Have experience in providing feedback to parents/caregivers.  
   

Lastly: 
Cluey is 100% online. To be successful in this role you will need a computer, a strong internet connection, a headset and microphone. We will also need a copy of your degree/teaching qualification.
