We are seeking a dynamic Payment Entry Clerk to join our team! This position is primarily responsible for posting daily payments, pick-up and open mail, scan paperwork related to payments; assist with front desk duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Posts all payments and EOB’s received on day of receipt.
• Picks-up, sort, and distributes mail from post office box.
• Identifies under payments and give EOB to financial associates for health plan appeals.
• Send out patient statements weekly
• Scans paperwork on daily basis.
• Advises supervisor daily of work status.
• Requests supervisor to prioritize work load if backlogged.
• Complies with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, HIPAA, Compliance and other requirements that may be mandated.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Work and maintain Insurance and Self-pay credit work queues in Epic.
• Work and maintain all Account work queues in Epic (self-pay, returned mail, bankruptcy. Etc)
• Other duties may be assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Post all payments received either electronically or by check on day of receipt.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software and AllMeds/ Centricity.

Wage:

25th %tile – $14.60

50th %tile – $17.00

75th %tile – $19.80
