This position reports to a Supervisor in the Claim Operations department and provides critical operations support to our Claim Partners.
Major Duties/Responsibilities of the Job:
Monitor and accurately attach email/mail/faxes to claims
Monitor claim system workgroup and process task/requests within established guidelines
Complete standard re-open/closing procedures and merge files within established guidelines
Effectively communicate and collaborate with claim examiners to provide support throughout the claims process
Make use of multiple claim systems, internet sites and reference guides to electronically process, name and attach scanned documents to paperless claim files
Ability to work in an agile environment
Recognize, prioritize and escalate severe claims according to established guidelines
Create and maintain accurate productivity logs for the purpose of tracking department results
Process letters and related claim forms
Ability to work in a team environment
Prior experience working in fast paced, Insurance Operations environment preferred
Demonstrated customer service skills both verbally and written.
Ability to evaluate work throughout the day and act on items of priority within scope of responsibility.
Ability to work in an agile environment
Knowledge of computer navigation skills, including Outlook, Excel and Word
Demonstrated time management skills
Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and process multiple work requests/tasks.
Prior Claims knowledge to include Worker’s Compensation, Personal Lines and Commercial Lines a plus
Display a positive attitude, and remain flexible, with the willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances
