Summary You will serve as a Electronics Technician (ATC Systems) in the Air Operations Department of NAS PENSACOLA. Responsibilities You will perform evaluation test to ensure system operation, maintenance, and calibration conform to specifications established in technical and manufacturer’s manuals. You will conduct functional tests to diagnose the extent and location of Air Traffic Control (ATC) Data Networking Systems malfunctions. You will develop procedures for electronic maintenance, repair, or installation processes. You will conduct on-the-job (OJT) training to required personnel relating to Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing technical airfield electronic work for compliance with regulations; 2) Troubleshooting and repairing airfield electronic equipment, air traffic control systems, radar, instrument approach systems, navigational aids, and communications systems to solve complex technical problems or improve system performance; 3) Evaluating equipment design to improve or enhance circuit and system operation; and 4) Using applicable test equipment, test methods, and practices as related to the Air Traffic Control equipment and systems, including safety precautions.
