1099 sub-contract position

Pay

One person winning at their 1×1 goals means we all get paid more. Our foundation as a business gets stronger, hours increase, resources increase and improve…all the things!

Pay isn’t everything, but we’re going to ensure that our team is taken care of financially, as best we can.

Timing

Payouts are biweekly

Regular Invoicing

$15 – $30 per invoiceable hour base rate, depending on candidate’s events experience

Commissions

Philosophy: When Common Leaders gets paid, you get paid!

Timing: Commission collection amounts will be calculated on the 2nd Wednesday following the contractual commencement and will continue biweekly for the remainder of the contract.

• % on deposits: clients’ deposit payments processed during the contract period

• % on delivery: clients’ total final delivered project payments processed during the contract period

• Less the deposit amount

20% for individual sales that gross less than 1,000 USD

• “Scaling Level I” bonus for individual sales that gross at or more than 5,000 USD; Add 5% (25% total)

• “Scaling Level II” bonus for any delivered, single events that gross over 20,000 USD; Add 10% more (35% total)

Non-direct sales time per week

Max 10 hours of

• Events & market research

• Business partner communications

• Material or social media post development

• Administrative tasks (invoicing, reviewing company voicemails)

• Submission of materials to business partners

• Common Leaders events:

• Research

• Design

• Internal proposal presentation & approval process

• Co-coordination of event planning, preparation and follow-up strategy

• Master of Ceremony / Facilitate as needed, as agreed in event design negotiations internally and with client

Direct Sales time, per week

Max of 5 invoiceable hours of sales per week (you are welcome to, but not obligated to, work on sales outside of that range in order to gain more commission)

• Prospective clients:

• Outgoing: sales calls; messages on social and community- focused platforms; outgoing individual emails

• Scheduling: moving a prospective client from initial inquiry to scheduled exploratory session with Trevor

• Negotiating: moving a prospective client from initial exploratory session to scheduled with Trevor

• Common Leaders events:

• Co-Presenting proposals with client

• Co-Negotiating proposals with client

• Small, direct sales presence during most events

Overview

Common Leaders in its shortest form is leadership hosting. In the same way that you need a host to launch a website, or you had a host at your holiday parties, I think it’s time that humans had a host for their leadership. My motive is to bring leadership ideas to the people, in the language of the people.

Waking up as a Leader is one of the coolest honors we can experience. But being a leader of something can be lonely. And confusing. And scary. Here we’ll be those things together, develop skills to be a more awesome leader, with a crowd cheering us on.
