Luzerne-Wyoming County Drug and Alcohol Program is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing a comprehensive array of services covering the full continuum of care to the residents of both Luzerne and Wyoming Counties in the areas prevention, intervention, treatment, and treatment-related services.
We are looking for a dedicated and engaged Clerk Typist 2, to assist with various transactional administrative duties in support of the mission. If this sounds like you, apply today!
You will perform various administrative and clerical duties such at transcribe correspondences, data entry, and document transmission for the Case Management Supervisor and Case Management Specialists. You will also complete monthly reports regarding total assessments, emergency placements, and Helpline referrals for each Case Management Specialist.
You will need to communicate with clients and their families regarding the Case Management Unit’s protocols, treatment services, funding opportunities, policies and procedures.
Other duties include but are not limited to answering, screening, and routing all calls, taking messages, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and scheduling appointments via telephone or in-person (walk-in) for clients.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Wilkes-Barre, PA.- There is a possibility of this being changed due to agency/business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:
