DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This Caseworker will determine eligibility for families who apply for or receive child care subsidy’s based on provided regulations and guidelines. Caseworker will have follow families from the eligibility process to maintain and determine ongoing eligibility. Caseworker will ensure providers are paid timely and accurately and will notify providers of any change in families eligibility. Will provide community resources and referrals and actively work with the provider community.

Full-time employment
Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM; Monday – Friday; 30-minute lunch
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1;ORSuccessful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program;OR A bachelor’s degree with a social welfare major;ORA bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency;ORAny equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
PA residency is currentlywaivedfor this position.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police, Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI clearance.
