Comtech LLC Looking for Software Developer at Smyrna, DE Full Time

Title: Application Developer

Employment Type: 12-month contract with possible extension

Workplace Type: Hybrid (3 days on site per week)

Locations: Smyrna, DE, USA

Hourly Pay Rate: $57-62 per hour

Comtech is seeking an experienced Software Developer for our client’s IT Department to help support a 24-hour traffic management center in the area. As a key player within a small team, you will be responsible for both coding and analysis, collaborating closely with project managers, senior technical peers, and the business operations team.

Key Responsibilities

Receive direction from project manager and senior technical peers.

Work directly with the business operations team on requirements, testing, and delivery.

Work on full lifecycle of development projects, collaborating with users, technical teams, and local/state IT resources.

Contribute to written project documentation and training, as needed.

Handle technical on-call responsibilities rotated among team members (periodically).

Key Requirements

Advanced proficiency in the following:

General application design & development, particularly Java (JDK)

Designing, working, and interacting independently with business groups to understand requirements/efforts

Written and verbal communication skills

Intermediate Proficiency In The Following

HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

JSON, AJAX, REST APIs, and WebSocket

Beginner Proficiency With/in The Following

Web development (Typescript, Angular, NGRX, and/or PrimeNG)

Application Servers (Jetty and/or NestJS)

Oracle

MongoDB

MySQL, MS SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL

Project management

Business analysis
