Sr. Professional I, Procurement
Job Description
The Sr. Professional I, Procurement is responsible for identifying opportunities for cost reduction, and developing and implementing cost improvement strategies related to the acquisition and use of 3rd party supplier services and products at the direction of a Manager or Sr. Manager, Procurement.
Accountabilities:
Identifies supplier-related cost reduction opportunities and strategies on a corporate wide basis and aggressively pursues implementation Negotiates global strategic purchases , new contracts and contract renewals Develops sources for new products and services; develops new sources for existing products and services Conduct industry benchmarking pricing and make recommendations on programs to reduce costs Identify and develop supplier process improvement initiative Facilitates and/or develops supplier proposals/quote requests Maintains high sourcing visibility through frequent interaction and communication with business user groups and associated suppliers Organize and lead business reviews with key suppliers Communicates new/revised contract and purchase terms to Purchase Processing Group and user community
Transformation strategy of driving more technology/innovation into more deals
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field from a four-year college or university with three to seven years of relevant experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively present information to internal and external associates
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment
Ability to analyze and strategize amongst various services and suppliers
Negotiation and contract skills are preferred, but not required
Excellent attention to detail
