We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about dispatching and customer service within a startup work environment. This “Travel Concierge/Dispatcher” role is critical to the growth of our company, and includes liaising with everyone from our executives to the dispatch team to our institutional clients to ensure that our clients and drivers get the best quality and timely services possible.

About the Opportunity

The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the our dispatch team to ensure that all client reservations are appropriately routed, entered, scheduled, assigned to drivers, and monitored in real time. We are a California-based startup and as such we are looking for a candidate who has excellent customer service and problem solving skills. Someone who will take ownership of various tasks and assignments and who is excited to take on multiple responsibilities. We are a rapidly growing company, and we are looking for someone who will be able to jump right in, make an impact, and grow alongside the company. This position will be primarily a work-from-home position to start but may require in office work from time to time and/or in the near future.

Day to day, in this role you will:

• Interface with institutional clients to manage recurring reservations.
• Utilize routing/mapping software to create driver routes based on stated reservation requirements.
• Communicate directly with drivers to develop routes and ongoing schedules that work for them.
• Track feedback from clients, drivers and passengers to include in future routing and more efficient and automated processes.
• Ensuring all reservations are assigned and accepted by drivers on a daily basis.
• Ensure all reservations are accurate and up to date per customer requests.
• Answer real-time driver calls and help the dispatch team as necessary.
• This job will be 5 days per week, M-F. Hours can be flexible but 40 hours per week are required. Must be willing to work some OT and occasional weekend hours as needed.

Skills/Experience & Who You Are

• 2+ years’ experience in operations, account management, planning and routing, dispatch, or customer service
• Data-driven, with meticulous attention to detail.
• You can look at a large dataset and develop the best approach to organizing the information in useful ways.
• Comfortable manipulating data in Excel.
• Ability to look at individual data points through a holistic lens and develop a process for implementing those accordingly.
• Ability to solve problems in real-time and adapt to customers’ unique needs.
• Able to create processes to track changes and updates to existing reservations.
• Able to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and coworkers via email, chat, text, phone, etc.
• Have an absolute can-do attitude and a commitment to the success of your work.

We have provided hundreds of thousands of client rides since our founding in the 2000s. We help clients get things done, socialize and have enriching life experiences. This is accomplished via a door-through-door ride service, helping folks from inside their homes (maybe down stairs or in-and-out of a wheelchair), to the vehicle, and from the vehicle inside wherever they are going. Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
