About The Role

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to the business in accordance with NZ financial reporting standards and US generally accepted accounting principles, this includes:

• Preparing month end reporting and analysis, cashflow management and bank reconciliation
• Completing statistics NZ & any other third-party financial surveys
• Assisting with preparation of GST & FBT returns, annual statutory accounts and audits
• Completing preparation of GL journals, accruals and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Participating in any other ad hoc projects that support Finance department’s strategic plan

About You

You will have a degree qualification in finance / accounting with 1 to 2 years of work experience, or experience in an Accountant / Assistant Accountant role would be well regarded. While not essential, it would be preferred if you had SAP knowledge.

You will thrive if you have good problem-solving skills, able to work to deadlines with high attention to detail and possess intermediate / advanced Excel skills. You value constructive team culture and a positive team player with good written and verbal communication.
