THE POSITION
In this role you will have overall Management and Responsibility for the PLT Industrial Engineering Department and the department’s functions within the Sumter Plant Manufacturing Operations.
Core Responsibilities
•Supervise preparation of manning tables, implementation of time study/methods program, plant and equipment design and layout requirements for PLT division.
•Implement and direct the management of both formal and informal cost reduction programs for PLT division.
•Create annual personnel budget for variable employees.
•Directs the use of classical Industrial Engineering techniques, implementation and use of new, computerized methods to control and report labor, material, equipment costs of production.
•Assist in developing training programs plant wide
•Perform other duties, projects as directed by the Plant Manager
•Design, implement, maintain and administrate rates/wages program applied in the plant
•Determination of wage structure and relationships of hourly personnel.
•Hire, train, and manage Industrial Engineers
•Work on organizational design methodologies
•Consolidation Capacity, CUD, PIP Reports, Headcount Plan & Report, Shop floor data analysis & Reports
•Fixed monthly management & central KPI reporting
•Translate the strategy of the plant in Lean Manufacturing Actions and in gap analysis level
•Facilitate with Central the gap analysis budget definition
•Manage all the IE data
•Calculate the savings of the improvement potentials in the production area
•Suggest improvement projects to improve the standards
• Issue procedures and work instructions, ensure implementation of measures, and maintain controls
• Raise awareness, ensure regular ESH training and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
• Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
• Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate other
•Other job duties as required by the Plant Manager
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications
•BS in Industrial Engineering, MBA Preferred
•10+ years experience in Industrial Engineering in a manufacturing environment, with experience in management.
•7+ years leadership experience
Internal Requirements
• Rating of potential to SG 13
• Meet one of the 3 below requirements for a minimum of 2 years:
