Cool Running Events (CRE) has been creating and managing events & experiences in Ireland since 2007. The company runs two businesses; Iceskating.ie (3 locations) and Zipit Forest Adventures (3 locations). As an Ice Crew Member you will work at Alpine Skate Trail, Fota House

The Role

Cool Running Events are looking for a personable, customer focused individual to provide excellent customer running skating sessions. This position will report to the Ice Rink Manager & Assistant Manager. The role creates an exciting opportunity for the Ice Crew Member to gain experience working with customers, a great team and working at an exciting winter event.

Each staff member is trained in a broad range of positions at the rink. Succeful candidates will end up covering some or all of these stations (below).

• Ice Marshall (skating ability required)
• Small Rink supervisor
• Penguins & Gates supervisor
• Hygiene & Litter pick
• Skate Exchange Desk & Lockers
• Box Office
• Alphapix Cabin (an interest in photography is beneficial)
• Ticket Check Desk
• First Aid lead
• Ice Resurfacer Driver (driving licence required)
• Ice Maintenance (skating ability required)

The following details are the general responsibilities of the role but is not exhaustive.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure each customer receives top class customer service
• Work at the skate desk, helping customers with their skates
• Provide supervision to those ice skating
• Provide first aid to customers in need (First aid training is provided)
• Facilitate Group/Corporate/School bookings

Essential Criteria:

• Candidates must be available some weekdays, weekends + all of the holdiday period.
• Candidates must attend compulsory training on 4th + 5th November
• Friendly/Customer service focused
• Strong verbal communication skills

Desirable Criteria:

• Experience delivering first aid
• Manual handling certificate
• Ice Skating competency
