To support this aim the Education and Training Team are looking to recruit two part time Suicide Prevention Educator.One post is available at 15 hours per week and one at 22.5 hours a week.The posts will support education resulting in empowered clinical teams able to respond effectively to the risks associated with suicidal and self-harming behaviours. This is of particular importance during the immediate and subsequent impact of COVID-19 on mental health within our communities.

The person we are looking for will have; strong clinical background with current clinical experience, excellent communication skills, a passion for education and able to act as a professional role model. You will play a key role to support improvement initiatives leading to improved patient care. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development. This post will work across the county.

Proposed interview date: 3rd March 2023

• Assist and contribute in the ongoing development of the Suicide Prevention model, related risk management policies, and all other projects related to this field.
• Assist in the delivery/teaching of the Suicide Prevention model, and any associated training on self-harm to all staff groups and grades.
• Provide support, peer supervision and additional education to staff in clinical settings on use of the model and any additional support needs of staff working with complex client groups.
• Promote, deliver and drive forward CFT’s quality/clinical training agenda.
• Develop and deliver training related to self-injury, self-harm and suicide to meet operational and team
• Ensure that training programmes meet with, and integrate with, organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and duty of care.
• Keep up to date with developments and innovations in clinical training and self-harm and suicide prevention by reading clinical relevant journals, and attending relevant up-dates
• Provide support and advise consistently accurate clinical advice to services using relevant specialist
• Using specialist knowledge monitor staff performance, identify clinical training needs and share knowledge through demonstration &
• Use specialist knowledge to assess problems and evaluate options to ensure the most effective solution is
