Costco NZ Hiring for Fuel Station Attendant – Part Time Job at Auckland Full Time

We are preparing to open our first warehouse in New Zealand situated in Westgate, Auckland in August 2022. Alongside our Store we will have our fuel station opening in May.

As the Fuel Station Attendant your Job Duties/Essential Functions will include:

Educates members on use of Costco Fuel Station.

Greets member, teaches members how to swipe membership and payment cards, assists disabled or elderly members and assists members fill approved fuel containers. Thanks members. Directs traffic as needed.

Ensures compliance with national fire codes and Costco safety policies, e.g. no smoking, ignition turned off, filling approved storage containers. Responds to alarms appropriately. Uses fire extinguisher if necessary.

Performs daily inspections of all equipment. Performs routine maintenance, changes filters and nozzles. Arranges for outside repair services as needed.

Cleans fuel spills using neutralizing agent and/or absorbing cloth and disposes of material properly. Changes filters, performs or arranges for routine equipment maintenance. Cleans dispensers to be show ready at all times.

Assists Costco approved service providers and third party consultants undertake periodic inspections of fuel station.

Monitors cleanliness of station, including dispensers, data shed, islands, pavement, garden and trash.

Loads dispenser receipt rolls and changes when required.Undertakes area competitive pricing daily shops within 8km radius when assigned and required.

Enters daily comps into AS400.

Conducts fuel quality testing on a weekly basis.

Monitors and replaces dispenser security stickers to ensure financial and IT security in line with company policy.

Monitors fuel deliveries, signs delivery receipts, receives fuel into AS400.

Ensures that all fuel forms and checklists are strictly adhered to, in order to ensure correct station performance. ? Encourages, leads and motivates all other fuel attendants to ensure stations ongoing success and safety.
