Position Overview: The main duties of the Mobile Crushing Mechanic position include performing a full range of repair and modification work on heavy equipment vehicles. This is a full-time position that requires travel between Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota, and will be supplied a service truck and overnight stays. The mechanic will work overtime through peak season, reports to the Territory Manager, and has no supervisory responsibility. Incentive(s) $1500 Sign-On Bonus $200 Annual Clothing Stipend Annual Safety Incentive Essential Duties and Functions: Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects Perform a full range of repair and modification work on heavy equipment vehicles to include, but not limited to light duty, heavy duty and Redi-Mix trucks, backhoes, loaders, and miscellaneous equipment Repair tires, wheels, wheel bearings, idler wheels, idler bearings, and oil seals Replaces suspension arms, torsion bars, stabilizer bars, etc. Repair hydraulic and air brake systems Determine the nature and extent of repairs required Perform major and minor repairs on engines, power transmissions, transfers, and related electrical, fuel and hydraulic components Use technical manuals and other publications to identify and order repair parts Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using testing equipment such as compression testers, computer software tools, test meters, micrometers, gauges, and overall strong diagnostic skills Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency before being released to field Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours) Position Requirements: Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request Accreditation from school of mechanics or 3 plus years working with heavy construction equipment Class B CDL Use of your own tools is optional Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal Physical Requirements: The physical requirements to successfully perform the job functions are: Ability to reach below/at/above shoulders Pushing/Pulling Twisting/Bending Sitting/Standing/Balancing Operate hand and foot controls Simple/Firm grasping Ability to carry over 50 pounds Ability to lift/lower over 50 pounds Squatting/Stooping/Crouching Kneeling/Crawling Gross manipulation (pinching) Croell, Inc.
