  • Assist in performing routine maintenance work and repair to ship’s engine, machinery and auxiliary equipment
  • Clean, chip and paint deck surfaces
  • Handle mooring lines, and splice and repair ropes, wire cables and cordage
  • Rig and hoist equipment
  • Plan load for aircraft
  • Patrol assigned areas
  • Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment


    • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Transport Canada Bridge Watchman Certificate
  • Transport Canada Security Awareness Training for All Seafarers
  • Transport Canada passenger safety management¿(PSM) course
  • Marine Emergency Duties Certificate
