Job Details:

The Software Engineer works across the full development lifecycle including requirements analysis and definition, design and build, test facilitation and operational support on local an international AFC projects.

Role Responsibilities:

• Analyse functional requirements
• Develop design concepts for software systems
• Participate in the analysis, design, development, test, modification and integration of software systems
• Understand and work with the specifics of the assigned software systems
• Develop software requirements, related design, and code
• Perform software testing
• Assess the severity of problems, determine corrective actions and resolve technical problems
• Maintain the host environment and toolsets required to implement software deliverables
• Assist in specification preparation and the assessment of software products
• Assist in the writing of reports, manuals and procedures
• Ensure the continuous update of software documentation during software lifecycle

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline

About You:

• Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years software engineering development experience.
• Excellent experience with Java and Oracle Database development (PL/SQL).
• Good experience with Windows and Unix-based operating systems.
• Good knowledge of building distributed back end systems involving large databases.
• Good networking knowledge.
