Cultivate Recruitment Looking for General Manager, Transport at Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand Full Time

ContainerCo is seeking an influential General Manager to chart the course for our Transport division. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll optimise our operational capabilities while driving strategic growth. You’ll be the architect behind transitioning ContainerCo to a holistic logistics provider.

You’ll bring a broad understanding and network across the freight and transport sector, with specific experience in FCL, LCL, or bulk freight movement, and a background in senior leadership. This position could suit a capable 2IC from a larger transport operation ready to take the helm as a first-time GM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the transport division, as a member of the Executive leadership team.
• Oversee operational aspects while primarily focusing on strategic growth, network optimisation, and external relationship management,
• Collaborate closely with the finance team on budgeting, P&L management, and revenue determination.
• Engage in project management, including electric vehicle initiatives and infrastructure development.
• Play a key role in transitioning the company to a full logistics provider, increasing the movement of full loads versus empty loads.
