Salary: 28 226 – 29 174 (Pro-Rata)
The advertised salary includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of the post. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and /or working conditions of the role.
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Workbase: This role will be based at our Family Centre in Botcherby, but will work across Carlisle and Eden, providing a positive experience for the children and young people.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, hard-working, and dedicated person to join our team as a Child and Family Worker; developing and delivering exceptional service to improve outcomes for vulnerable children, young people and families, working as part of a multi-agency team.
The Role
As a Child and Family Worker, you will be allocated work in-line with the needs of the children and families, including carrying-out parenting assessments, undertaking direct work with children and families and supervising family time between
parents and children.
We work in collaboration with all internal and external parties, developing and agreeing on courses of actions that meet the individual needs of the children and families we are working with, ensuring a safe, secure and non-discriminatory environment is maintained.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a flexible, driven and compassionate person, who has the ability to adapt to both the individual needs of the children, young people and families, but who can also provide solutions and outcomes to any unexpected issues that may arise.
Experience of managing challenging behaviour and working with complex issues is important for this role, a NVQ 3 or equivalent in a relevant professional area is essential, as well as evidence of on-going professional development.
It is important that the successful candidates are sensitive to the impact of their decisions, and that the voice of children and young people is heard and informs assessment and direct work.
