Curate develops a SaaS platform that automates the tedious parts of event planning. Small businesses, like florists, caterers, and other event professionals depend on us to deliver flawless experiences everyday. Our software makes it easy to organize all the information they need for an event and turn it into gorgeous proposals, accurate recipes, and streamlined wholesale orders, saving them time and making them more profitable.

We are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer who can be a part of the team developing a responsive and polished web application, and who has strong experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, and Vue frontend technologies as well with building Serverless backend applications in AWS. This is a position, and you will be expected to be both tech-savvy and self-directed. You should be an expert in frontend and backend development and in crafting code that is accessible, scalable, documented, and tested. You should enjoy tackling complex problems while working with a team of talented developers to deliver elegant solutions across a full, modern tech stack. This position is remote.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop an application frontend in JavaScript/NodeJS built with Vue, Vuetify, and GraphQL
• Develop an application backend in Javascript/NodeJS built on AWS with Lambda, AppSync, RDS, Dynamo, SQS, SES and Serverless
• Debug code and resolve bugs reported by Product and Customer Success/Support teams
• Document development activities and create technical documentation
• Conduct Code Reviews and refine coding standards
• Test and QA work contributed by other developers
• Mentor junior developers

What You’ll Bring:

• 5+ years of JavaScript experience, with at least 3yrs experience with NodeJS
• 2+ years of experience using Vue, and GraphQL or Vue Apollo
• 2+ years of experience building infrastructure with AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, SQS, SES with Serverless
• Experience writing automated tests (with Cypress or other testing frameworks)
• An inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)

Bonus points if you have:

• AWS Certifications or extensive development experience with the following:
• Lambda
• Serverless
• Integrating with third party APIs
