The Position
We are seeking a goal-oriented, motivated individual to take on the role of Product Management Specialist. The Product Management Specialist will be key in supporting our vision of realizing growth for our separations sciences products that are utilized across the breadth of our targeted industries (e.g. Pharmaceuticals, Clinical, Forensics, Biologics, etc.). This individual works closely with Operations to ensure on time delivery to customers, supports product lifecycle and product financial health, and utilizes tools such as financial analysis and voice of customer.
The Product Management Specialist will be well organized, be able to work effectively cross-functionally with a diverse group of teams, and has solid written and oral presentation skills. A strong technical background coupled with a foundational level of business acumen are essential for success. The Product Management Specialist will report to a Senior Product Manager.
Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Sales, and other functions to ensure on time delivery of products within the existing portfolio
Working with Product Managers, supports the development and execution of product life cycle management, including discontinuance
Perform on-going voice-of-customer (VOC) interactions with key internal and external customers globally to outline workflows, understand problems, obtain feedback on existing products or new, and identify potential customer solutions
Support Product Management and Market Development Management teams in gathering, assessing, and presenting market and competitive intelligence, global trends, and displacing technologies
Supports VIP and key customer interactions as needed
Execute customer support functions including letters and other communications as needed
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years’ experience or MBA/Master’s degree with 2+ years’ experience or Doctorate infield
Foundational business acumen and financial aptitude; experience in the Danaher Business System and financial analysis/modeling skills strongly preferred
2+ years working knowledge of practical HPLC workflows and hands-on experience in liquid chromatographic instrumentation like HPLC-UV, UHPLC-UV, and LC/MS or other chromatography and sample preparation techniques is desired
Strong fundamental general chemistry knowledge, as well as a thorough understanding of experimental design and troubleshooting workflows
Previous experience in product management, market development, technical customer management, or product development is desirable but not required
Able to work as a productive member of a team in a matrix organization and cross functionally with different departments
Travel potentially up to 15%
